Copyright
Authors submitting manuscripts do so on the understanding that the work has not been previously published and, if the manuscript is accepted for publication, that the copyright will be transferred to the Regents of the University of Colorado. Copyright transfer forms will be sent to the author if and when the manuscript is accepted for publication.
Processing Fee
To help cover ever-increasing costs, the journal has instituted a mandatory $200 processing fee for all manuscripts that are accepted for publication. Payment of this fee entitles the author to a free, one-year subscription, including online access. If the fee presents a hardship, authors may request a waiver. In addition to the mandatory fee, the journal will continue to request payment of voluntary page charges ($85 per page) to help offset the high cost of printing.
Page Charges
Full or partial payment of $85 per page will be charged to authors whose institutions or research grants are able to pay page charges. Ability to pay these charges is not considered a condition for publication, but any contribution toward cost of publication is welcomed.
Proofs
Page proofs are sent to authors via e-mail as pdf files. Pdf files of page proofs may not be reproduced or distributed.
Reprints
A price schedule for reprints will be sent to the corresponding author with page proofs.
Data depository
Exceptionally lengthy supporting data may be deposited at the editorial office to be made available on request.
