Atlas: GIS Data
The links below allow you to download the APG Atlas and related layers
for use in ArcView, ArcGIS Desktop, free ArcExplorer,
and other GIS programs that can import coverages or shapefiles. The Late
Wisconsin (LW) and Pleistocene Maximum (MAX) layers can be downloaded
as shapefiles (recommended) or as coverages. Shapefiles are distributed
as both polygons (glacier extents) and lines (glacier limits, coded by
certainty).
Please note:
- The files below cannot be viewed in a web browser or graphics application.
- Projection and datum: Alaska Albers, NAD27
- Compressed folders in .zip format can be opened by a variety of utilities
such as WinZip and Stuffit Expander.
- Use your web browser to download the files (right-click on download
links)
- Please read the metadata!
