There will be an evening reception in the UMC Aspen Rooms
Wednesday, May 12 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
The program presentations will be in the CIRES Auditorium
Thursday, May 13 and Friday, May 14

Theme: Ice and Climate Change at the Poles: Personal Accounts and Satellite Evidence

 

It will be co-hosted by the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research (INSTAAR) and the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) at the University of Colorado (CU). Convenors are John Behrendt, President APS and INSTAAR; Ted Scambos, NSIDC; Tad Pfeffer, INSTAAR; and Jim White, Director, INSTAAR. There will be a reception on Wednesday evening, May 12, and a banquet on the evening of May 13.

The theme of the meeting is “Ice and Climate Change at the Poles: Personal Accounts and Satellite Evidence.” The Committee will arrange the program speakers along the general line of the theme, though not restrictively. Suggestions to the president are welcome.

There are no excess funds available except registration fees for participants, unless someone donates.
