The WMO invites members of the global monitoring community to participate in the 6th WMO-GAW Workshop on global VOCs to present and learn about the latest measurement techniques, data products, and interpretations.

The aim of this workshop is to review the progress in global volatile organic compound (VOC) observations, to discuss new and emerging measurement techniques, and to assess progress in building up quality assurance and global data archiving programs. This workshop is organized by the Scientific Advisory Group of Reactive Gases (SAG) of the Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) Programme, and hosted by the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research (INSTAAR). It will take place in the Sustainability, Energy and Environment Complex (SEEC) on the East Campus of the University of Colorado, Boulder (https://seec.colorado.edu/). Contributions from the GAW community, other research communities (including biogenic VOC and air quality) are welcome.

Access for NOAA Lab Tours                                                                                        Back to Top

A tour of NOAA's Standards Preparation Lab and Chemical Science Division's Airborne Sampler will be offerred on Wednesday, May 24th. Those wishing to participate should contact Ann Thorne (Ann.Thorne@noaa.gov)  to register in advance so they can be cleared to visit the NOAA campus.

There are many lodging options within a one-mile radius to SEEC, and hotels will generally grant discounted rates to conference attendees at the university (please mention at booking). A good choice is the Millennium Harvest House, which is about a 15 min walk from INSTAAR via the Boulder Creek path.

For the convenience of conference attendees, a special rate has been procured at the Millenium Harvest House in Boulder. Until April 22nd, single or double occupancy rooms can be booked for $134/night through Millenium Harvest for May 22-27.
