Mountain Hydrology Group - Chile, 2014

August, 2014 snow surveys in the Andes, Chile. August, 2014 is a drought year. Snow hydrologists from the Mountain Hydrology Group joined hydrologists from Chile to collaborate on methodology and to assist the Chilean hydrologists with helicopter snow surveys. Chilean hydrologists were associated with professor James McPhee, PhD, and his team from the University of Chile, Department of Civil Engineering, at: www.ingcivil.uchile.cl. Regions surveyed included Cajon de Maipo, Cerros de Vega Negra, Estero Alonso de Morales, and Refugio Lo Valdes.
