THE ALBUM
This photo album spans 50 years of INSTAAR's history and contains over 750 photos taken by present and former INSTAAR personnel. Photos were submitted for the official Anniversary Celebration, which was held on 14-16 September 2001. These photos portray just a small fraction of the people who have made INSTAAR what it is today. If you notice any incorrect names, locations, or dates in the captions, please send corrections by email to the INSTAAR webmaster. We hope you find these photos enjoyable!

All rights to reproduce these images are retained by the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research and the copyright owner. Images remain the property of the copyright holder. By accessing these images, you are consenting to our licensing agreement.

DOWNLOADING IMAGES
Use standard browser methods to download the images to your computer. From a Macintosh browser, click and hold on the image or control-click it and choose "save this image as..." (Netscape Communicator) or "download image to disk" (Internet Explorer). From a PC browser, right mouse click on the image and choose from the menu.

PRINTING IMAGES
The resolution of these images is OK for most on-screen uses but much too low for photograph-quality printing. To get better printing results, use the higher resolution images on the CD-ROM (see below).

HIGH-RESOLUTION IMAGES
High-resolution images in raw format (TIFF, PSD, PCD, etc) have been placed into the INSTAAR image archives. Files of these images are available upon request to copyright holders and, in some cases, to others honoring our license agreement. There may be a charge to cover costs. Those interested in commercial or for-profit educational use, should contact INSTAAR or the copyright holders for availability and prices.
