Basic FAQ

  1. How do I submit an abstract?
    Upon registering you will be emailed a web page location for submitting your abstract. For general information on abstract length and format see Registration > Submit Abstract
  2. Can I submit more than one abstract?
    Space is limited. Submitting more than one abstract must be pre-approved, email your request to arcticws@colorado.edu
  3. Was my abstract accepted?
    Your abstract is automatically placed into our system as soon as you submit it. If your abstract is considered inappropriate for the Workshop, we will contact you within a few days of submittal.
  4. Can I put up two posters?
    Space is limited. An extra poster must be pre-approved, email your request to arcticws@colorado.edu
  5. Can my poster be bigger than 1 meter by 1 meter?
    Due to limited wall space we are limiting poster sizes to be 1 meter X 1 meter.

Student FAQ

  1. How do I find a roommate?
    Please email arcticws@colorado.edu. We will try and match you up with someone to share a room with. Let us know your preferences (non-smoking vs. smoking, male vs. female, etc.).
  2. Do I need to pay for everything up front first?
    Yes, you will need to pay for your lodging and food yourself and then get reimbursed after the workshop. You will need to keep your lodging receipts but not your food receipts.
  3. How do I get reimbursed for lodging and food?
    You need to fill out the tax forms, travel voucher form (provided in your registration packet) and obtain a receipt from the hotel and turn all paper work into Wendy Roth or another Arctic Workshop employee. All material must be received before April 23, 2006.
  4. Is there any assistance for travel expenses?
    No.
  5. Can I stay at a different hotel than the hotel Boulder Inn?
    Yes, you can. But remember there are other events occurring in Boulder so rooms may go quickly. Also you will only be reimbursed for $50.00 per night.
  6. What forms do I need to fill out?
    Refer to question 3.
  7. What happens if I did not fill out the tax forms in time?
    If you do not fill out your tax forms by 26 February this will result in a substantial delay of your reimbursement. When you pick up your registration packet you can fill out the forms then and turn them into Wendy Roth.
  8. When is the deadline for reimbursements?
    Deadline for submitting reimbursement receipts is April 24. Later submittals will only be accepted under special circumstances and even then must be arranged with Wendy Roth or Tad Pfeffer before the end of the workshop.
