Shuttles run between the Denver Airport and
Winter Park every hour to 1.5 hours


Airport

Fly to Denver International Airport (airport code="DEN"), which is about 100 road miles east of Winter Park. The airport, often called "DIA", has car rental offices, bus and shuttle services, cabs, and restaurants. Ground transportation counters are on the baggage-claim level of main terminal.

Rental Car

The airport has many rental car company options. Some car rental counters may close in mid-evening (9:00pm??), so check for closing time when making reservations.

Shuttle


Home James Transportation Services

Daily scheduled direct service between Denver International Airport and Winter Park. One-way standard price for adults is $65 (discounts available for kids and groups of three or more). You can also get deep discounts on local Hertz car rentals in Winter Park if reserved as part of a Home James shuttle.

Advanced Reservations Suggested

Seats are not guaranteed on reservations made less than 72 hours in advance. Reservations can be made online or by calling 1-800-359-7503.

Cancellation Policy

Reservations cancelled less than 48 hours from the date and time of anticipated travel will not be refunded. Reservations cancelled at least 48 hours prior to date and time of anticipated travel will be refunded in full.

Luggage Policy

Guests are limited to 2 bags each plus a pair of skis or snowboard. For excess of 3 bags, additional charges will apply. Bikes or other large items will incur a fee of the same price as a passenger for that route. If the oversized item is larger than 5 feet in any way (except for skis and snowboards), the guest must book a private charter. The bike or large item must be in a bag or box.

Airport Check-in Procedures

Upon arrival at DIA, please collect your belongings and meet your shuttle at the designated pickup area (East Side of Baggage Claim Door #511 Island #2). Please be advised that Home James reserves the right to supplement van shuttles with luxury motorcoach services on weekends and peak holiday travel periods.

Approximate travel time between Denver International Airport and Winter Park is 2 hours each way. Travel times may vary based on road conditions and traffic.

Train

Amtrak has daily train service to the Fraser-Winter Park train station (WIP) about 2 miles north of the Hotel (you can take Valley Taxi). The stop is the highest altitude Amtrak station and lies on the California Zephyr Line which connects Chicago-Denver-San Francisco. The westbound train (toward San Francisco) leaves downtown Denver about 8 am and the trip takes about 2 hours. The eastbound train (toward Chicago) arrives at Fraser-Winter Park at about 4 pm.
