Walters will also give the Geological Sciences’ Colloquium later that day: Organic geochemistry at varying scales: From kilometers to ångstroms at 4:00 in BESC Room 180 (main campus).
Walters has conducted work on the modeling of oil generation and reservoir transformations, geomicrobiology, processes of solids formation, shale gas generation, and unconventional petroleum systems. Currently, he is working on the characterization and diagenesis of microbial lipids.
Free and open to the public.
