The INSTAAR Banner was created by Dave Underwood of Information Technology Services (CU Boulder) based on several photographs of Alaska, including one of INSTAAR graduate student Daniel Costello surveying glacier boreholes above the Worthington Glacier (not shown) and one taken by INSTAAR graduate student Ryan Vachon during his successful ascent of Denali (shown below).
