Specialty
Paleoclimate and paleoceanography
Bio
What do I do around here?
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher that aims to reconstruct the marine ecosystem response (e.g. productivity, biogeochemical cycling) to the meteorite impact that wiped out the dinosaurs and many other species at the Cretaceous/Paleogene boundary.
Previous work
I have worked on terrestrial paleoclimate reconstructions using the clumped and oxygen isotope composition of pedogenic siderite during my PhD. Prior to that I have reconstructed the salinity and temperature of the Mediterranean Outflow during the Last Glacial Termination.
Focus
I am interested in environmental reconstructions in deep-time with an emphasis on understanding the consequences of anthropogenic climate change.
