Real Time Spatial Estimates of SWE (Snow Water Equivalent) Reports
The reports contain an experimental research product that provides near-real-time estimates of snow-water equivalent (SWE) at a spatial resolution of 500 m for the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California and the Intermountain West region (Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming) from mid-winter through the melt season. The report is released within a week of the date of satellite image data acquisition. The reports are distributed to water managers and forecasters. Download reports by clicking on the images below.
