This is a calving event observed at Columbia Glacier. The ice cliff is roughly 70 m tall.  This is early in a large submarine event.

The berg begins to rotate over as more small submarine bergs surface.

As the berg rotates, its immense size becomes obvious.

This event, observed on 6/17/2005, was one of the largest events of June 2005. Soon I'll post a seismogram from this event.
