Ocean Biogeochemistry Research Group

The ocean biogeochemistry research group is a part of the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research and the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder.  The group conducts modeling and observational studies in ocean biogeochemistry.  We focus on understanding the ocean’s role in the global carbon cycle by researching the physical, chemical, and biological processes controlling air-sea carbon dioxide exchange.  We investigate how these processes operated in the past, how they function today, and how they might respond to anthropogenic climate change in the future.
