Dear friends of the CO WASH Symposium,
Registration for your favorite gathering of WASH practitioners, academics, and professionals is now open! As always the symposium is free. After a long year for all of us, we look forward to connecting with you all virtually and continuing to push the sector forward, together. Register online.
Introducing: Featured Stories
This year we're introducing a new way to participate! Featured Stories are a 30-second to 3-minute videos that focuses on WASH in Practice. Anyone can submit a story to be featured during the symposium. These are intended to be informal and personal. We will host the stories on our conference website and highlight them throughout the program. See more information and an example of a story created by one of our planning committee members. Sign up to create a featured story.
Global Engineering Awards
The Mortenson Center is hosting the Third Annual Global Engineering Awards recognizing a professional and a student whose work aligns with the Mortenson Center’s mission and vision. The nomination process is open through January 31, 2021.
The Global Engineering Awards seek to highlight the work of individuals who contribute to the field of global engineering. This encompasses not only those students and professionals in traditional engineering disciplines, with a focus on positive impact in low- and middle-income countries, but also those who are in related disciplines that take a solutions-oriented approach to the same challenges - water, sanitation, energy, food, shelter, and infrastructure. These related disciplines include global health, environmental science, atmospheric science, agricultural science, geography, governance, policy and community advocacy.
Nominate a student or professional for a Global Engineering Award.
If you submitted an abstract you'll be hearing from us by the end of this month. Thank you all so much for your support, we're very excited to see you in March!
