Why your science matters: Citizen power informed by facts

Monday, April 14, 2014, 12:00PM - 1:00PM

RJ Harrington

Executive Director, Clean Energy Action

ARC room 620

Clean Energy Action provides a number of programs through its 501(c)(3) educational non-profit in order to achieve its vision of "Accelerating the transition from fossil fuels to a clean energy economy." The organization has built its reputation on providing a factual basis for why this transition must be accelerated and how citizens can work in their communities and beyond to achieve this goal. These facts are informed by the science that many of the researchers at INSTAAR have done. RJ will provide details of the Citizen Power programs and how your science informs the facts that help citizens take action to repower their communities.

RJ joined the staff of Clean Energy Action in April of 2012. He was previously the Policy Director for the Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association (COSEIA) and has worked in the solar industry for several years in a variety of roles. He previously worked in the financial services industry, including experience with risk management.
