I am an earth scientist specialized in numerical model development with a keen interest in anthropogenic processes. I like to be challenged and have a strong believe in the power of collaboration.

During my PhD, I investigated the impact of global change and anthropogenic disturbance on soil functioning.

Currently, I am involved in several projects related to the following two research challenges: (i) What does the Earth’s past tell us about the future and (ii) how does the Earth’s surface evolve in the Anthropocene. I believe numerical earth surface models have a pivotal role to play in bridging Earth science disciplines and can contribute to sustainable agriculture and food management. Therefore, in my current and future projects, I mainly focus on research questions addressing the human – land – atmosphere nexus.
