Research Interests

Glacial geology and sedimentology. Paleoclimatic research based on lacustrine and marine sedimentation; glacial history of Iceland; glacial geological study in eastern Greenland. Interactive effect of volcanic eruptions, climate and glaciations in Iceland and the North Atlantic. Rates and magnitude of natural climate variability, and the various feedback mechanisms in the global climate system. Pliocene-Pleistocene glacier fluctuations.
