Specialty

Technical expert in stable isotope mass spectrometry.

Research Interests

I am part of a team that uses stable isotopes to understand Earth’s climate system. With NOAA’s Global Monitoring Division, we measure stable isotopes of carbon dioxide and methane to partition sources and sinks of these greenhouse gases. We also measure stable isotopes of water from ice cores to study past climates. In addition to running, maintaining, and troubleshooting a fleet of mass spectrometers, I am also responsible for quality control and calibrations on our large dataset.
