Over the course of the next two years, Norlin will remodel its Periodical and Reference Rooms to become more library-of-the-future. Library moves are always a treat. Not only do you have to move giant metric tons of books and journals around, but you have to do it while keeping them in order at all times AND provide as much access as possible. The Norlin folks will be moving a lot of journals to Pascal off-site storage and the rest to Norbase.
What this means for you: you will see a link in each journal record for items not already available online that says "Request electronic copy." Or you can place requests through the "Find it at CU" Article Finder Form. That means you get a digital copy delivered to your computer, even though the original journal is only available in print. Most requests are filled within two business days.
Leave it to the wonderful librarians at Norlin to actually make materials more accessible to us during their remodeling. The rest of the world should work this way.
