NY Times story on long-term observational climate data

September 17th, 2008

Monday's Times, in "Weather History Offers Insight into Global Warming," relates the story of the long-running National Weather Service weather station at the Mohonk Mountain House, New Paltz, New York. Observations have been taken the same way for more than 41,162 daily readings, 112 years, with only five naturalists filling the job of observer. Author Anthony DePalma does a good job of showing how long-term observations support important, validated science.
