Zotero workshop next week

March 20th, 2008

Meet Zotero, the best research tool you've never heard of.

A workshop Wednesday, March 26, 2:00-2:30 in the Information Center will briefly tour through Zotero and show how it handles several different types of information: web sites, online articles, Google tools, traditional books, etc.

If you think that in this Web 2.0 day and age there must be a better way to manage all the pieces of a research project than forgetting them all in separate silos and folders, this workshop will introduce a nice alternative. Zotero is a Firefox extension that helps gather, manage, and cite reference sources. It melds the best part of citation management software with some nice Web 2.0 abilities to search, tag, and take notes.

Please rsvp; space is limited. The workshop will be repeated for those to whom Spring Break actually means going outside.
