Results - Winter Mammalogy-
    2019
    2/10/19 -

    • Field sightings:
      • Tracks -
        • mice/vole, snowshoe hare, possible cottontail?, weasels, coyote, moose
      • Sign -
        • scat, nibble marks, tooth marks, holes under the snow, caches/middens
      • Notable sightings -
        • Followed some snowshoe hare tracks to the actual animal (some students got some good pictures/video)
        • Found a squirrel trail with blood drops, every track had a few blood drops with it
          • Backtracked the trail and found the transition from blood drops every track to no blood drops at all, but didn't see any predator tracks at that point, so it didn't look like an attack.  Might have just injured its foot on a stick/rock, the blood drops were pretty small
