Student participation is a vital component of our Workshop.
The deadline for student support has passed. Late registration, however, remains open.
Financial assistance is available for a limited number of students from any country thanks to support from INSTAAR. Submit your abstract early; first come, first served.
Students will be provided with the following:
Please note that support does NOT cover any travel expenses (flights, shuttle, etc). You might want to check whether your home institution can help defray such expenses. We encourage students to share a room. If you need help finding a roommate to reduce expenses, please email ArcticWS@colorado.edu. For more hotel info, see Lodging »
Please consider presenting works-in-progress rather than completed studies. Your colleagues can provide feedback or share data while it still makes a difference. Most students will submit original research, but submitting a poster or talk that you have already presented at another conference is fine too... as long as it does not violate any agreement you made with the other conference.
Making a presentation of a collaborative study for which you are not first author is also fine, as long as you made a substantial contribution and are familiar with all aspects of the study.
We will not accept two different attendees presenting the same study. For example, one person cannot show a poster if the same study was also given as a talk.
Unsure about something? Please see our Questions page before emailing ArcticWS@colorado.edu
If the status indicator says "closed", we've reached the limit and you cannot obtain assistance. You can still register, but the price will be higher.
When registering, choose one of the student options before the deadline:
$25 Student Presenter
$100 Student Non-Presenter
Student Presenters have two additional steps:
If you're a Student Presenter, you must submit your abstract to be eligible for assistance.
You must present at the workshop in order to obtain assistance and for your abstract to be published online and in our printed volume.
An informal pizza party for all participants will be provided on Saturday Evening, 2 April (5-7 pm, cafeteria).
